Flexible Gift Annuity

A standard Deferred Payment Gift Annuity has a fixed date on which payments are to begin. However, donors who are uncertain of when they will want to retire may prefer the flexibility of changing the payment date and amount. While a standard Deferred Payment Gift Annuity cannot change, a Flexible Gift Annuity can provide the freedom to accommodate changing plans, by choosing an earlier or later retirement date.

A Flexible Gift Annuity allows the donor to select a preferred payout age such as 65. If the donor decides to wait and take the payout at a later date, a larger amount is received as the annuity payment. Conversely, by deciding to wait and take the payout at a later date, a larger amount is received as the annuity payment.
