Planned Giving: Meet our satisfied donors

Della Hamilton Carlton

It was through The Quiet Hour that my mother, Lillian Hamilton, her sisters and her parents came to know the Lord. They went to evangelistic meetings and heard Pastor J. L. Tucker. It was such a blessing to be raised in a warm, loving, and faithful family.

My father, Sydney James Hamilton, was an ordained minister, born in Burma to missionary parents, George and Florence Hamilton. My parents, Lillian and Sydney, were wonderful Christians and raised us with a lot of love and faith. It is because of them that I remain a Christian.

My father died in 1969. He had multiple sclerosis and because of that disease he had not been able to be the minister that he wanted to be.

My mother, praise the Lord, lived to be a lot older. I praise God that He allowed her such a long life. She was a faithful Christian, full of Christ's love, and she taught school for many years. She was so precious.

I just wanted to let you know that my mother was very special and I'm thankful for the money she gave in trust for The Quiet Hour's ministries, and for our family.

Sincerely and with Christian love,

Mrs. Della Hamilton Carlton
