Five years ago my husband Jack and I contacted The Quiet Hour about setting up a family trust. It was at Christmas time when we signed the trust, and The Quiet Hour attorney also helped us update our wills and our power of attorney documents. We liked knowing things were in good hands even if something were to happen to one of us.

We’ve always enjoyed good health, so it was a shock when Jack died suddenly the following October. Although I miss him very much, I’m thankful that he took the time to plan for the future and to set up a trust to care for the needs of our family. Having a trust is so much better than having only a will. We didn’t have to go through a long and expensive probate and none of our funds were tied up. Everything went so easy for me after his death because of the trust. And it’s good to know that when the trust is no longer needed we’ll be able to make one final gift to the Lord’s work.
