Rwanda Visit

During a Quiet Hour evangelistic program in Rwanda, Pastor Bill Tucker and his team witnessed the terrible results of the genocide that racked the country. During their visit hundreds of the murderers were in prison awaiting trial.

The team witnessed the power of God's grace to save sinners. Church members reached out to prisoners. Some of the prisoners did their best to share the knowledge of Jesus' wonderful grace in saving sinners.

It was not long before many of the prisons had choirs made up of men who gave their lives to Jesus. In one prison the choir wrote their own song. The message was powerful. "Lord if you can forgive us for the many people that we killed . . . If you can take us to heaven, when we get there we will look for the people that we killed and kneel down before them and ask their forgiveness. . .”

Each time they sing this song the music ends with all the members in tears.

Rwanda Baptism

A church member in Rwanda who barely escape begin hacked to death with a bolo learned about the many converts in prison who were ready for baptism but were not permitted to leave the prison to take part in a baptism.

This gentleman had a furniture shop. He took his plan to the national government. If he were to construct a portable baptistery; could he secure permission to pull it into the prisons of the country so converts could be baptized?

The government agreed. In a few weeks he had constructed as baptismal tank on the trailer. Almost every weekend he pulls the "Mobil Jordan" baptismal tank into prisons around the country.

We invite you to pray for Christian workers that will be sharing the gospel in Rwanda in the coming months.
