Prayer Chapels Bring Hope

God is doing something very special in India. Again and again lay volunteers fast and pray for the Lord to help villagers with their problems. When a sick person is restored to health, the door to the village is opened. In remote villages medical help is often either too far away or beyond the finances of the family.

Two persons living with the people for one year always have a group of interested persons. The Quiet Hour has been able to provide more than 250 villages with a prayer chapel.

This new home brings a great deal of encouragement to the villagers. The building in the picture can house almost 300 people. They sit on mats on the floor for services. Someone plays the little hand drum provided by The Quiet Hour.

We need 100 more chapels. Each chapel costs $8,100. This amount includes the chapel, monthly stipend for two Bible workers, a public address system, 100 Bibles, a gas lamp and fuel, a bicycle, a musical instrument, literature, and a modest evangelistic budget. We will thank the Lord for any individuals or congregations that can provide one of these chapels.
