You’ve seen the photos of lush, tropical rainforest, the rugged volcanic terrain, and the “PNG” tribespeople who have, on faith, built airstrips so that mission planes can reach their remote villages with life-giving supplies, medical help, and teachers. The large island lies north of the east coast of Australia.
Pastor Bill Tucker, president of The Quiet Hour, last ministered in Papua New Guinea in 1999. In August 2008, he and 10 teams of volunteer evangelists will again reach into the interior of this beautiful land, and touch the lives of people eager to undergo transformation. The friendly, loving people are begging for teachers, health clinics, and the ministers of the gospel who bring those services.
Plan now to work on one of those teams. Ever wonder what it’s like to be a National Geographic explorer? You’d certainly find out on this short-term mission trip!
