Preparing for Your Meetings

The Quiet Hour is delighted that you are interested in learning more about overseas evangelism with our Global Evangelism program, in partnership with the Carolina Conference.

Here are some of the next steps you and your team will need to take in order to be involved:
1. Check the list of available dates and campaign sites.
2. Complete the application for a country assignment. Each team member needs to complete an application. There are no education requirements, nor is there any experience requirement. We are looking for people who have a desire to share the Good News about Jesus. If that applies to you, we invite you to sign up as either an evangelist or a support-team member.
3. Invite your church, church members, family, and friends to adopt your assigned city, help sponsor your team, and to continually pray for your preparations and meetings.
4. Begin fundraising to cover the team’s expenses of travel and meeting budgets.
5. Organize your team, including pastor/evangelist, medical personnel or health educators, child evangelists, and other helpers.
6. Apply for passports for those who do not have one and begin the process of obtaining visas, where needed.
7. Work closely with your team in coordinating all details for Health Expo, children’s program, and other aspects of the campaign.
8. Procure and prepare the equipment and supplies.
9. Make travel arrangements and final preparations. Contact Glenda Bailey at Carlson Wagonlit Travel or call 800-362-3389 (outside CA) or 909-769-8344.
10. Upon arriving at your meeting location:

    a. Contact government officials to obtain permission to conduct health screenings, show the equipment and supplies and assure of careful sterile techniques; show them your credentials.
    b. Promote the health poster competition in the city schools to involve children and their families in the Health Expo.
    c. Network with health professionals in the national church or community who could assist with health screening, including physicians, dentists, health educators, nurses, nutritionists, or other medical professionals.
