| Equipment Needs
The Quiet Hour strongly recommends that each team use video graphics for their meetings.
The three main pieces of equipment are:
1. A laptop computer or DVD player (to play and send out the slides/graphics)
2. A video projector (to receive and project the slides/graphics)
3. A remote control unit (for the speaker to advance the slides/graphics)
Additional Equipment:
A team may wish to have a VCR machine to show the “Jesus” video, nature videos, etc. Oftentimes VCRs are available in the local country, but probably use the PAL format rather than the American format of NTSC. Therefore whatever videos the team uses need to be compatible with the machine’s format.
Pointers on Electricity:
While the USA uses 110 volts and 60 cycles, most countries in other parts of the world use 220 volts and 50 cycles. To protect your equipment from permanent damage, be sure that it is designed for “universal use” and operates on 110-240 volts and 50-60 cycles.
Securing Equipment:
If you are wishing to purchase equipment for evangelism, there are numerous retail and wholesale sources, and the prices are constantly decreasing.
