San Salvador, El Salvador
Monday, February 13, 2006
We arrived in San Salvador safely; and started our evangelistic series Friday night. It is very exciting coming back to the same city but a very different area than we were in on our first trip with Global Evangelism/Share Him in March, 2005. This time we are directly in the downtown heart of the city, where everything and everyone moves faster than I can think.
The pastor and his team of Bible workers have worked very diligently preparing the city for our evangelistic series. We have hired several buses to transport the people from the outside of the city to the meetings nightly. Police has been hired for the safety of the people getting from the buses to the church. Parking is a big problem, so people have to walk a great distance. Because of the crime in the area we have to finish our meeting at 8:00 p.m., the church members are very nervous at night.
The Lord has been very good. Our attendance has averaged between 1,000 - 1,200 nightly, and there has been a baptism every night. We can feel the presence of the Holy Spirit speaking to the hearts of these dear people.
Please pray for us and our meetings in beautiful San Salvador.
Blessings,
