Here is the first installment of e-mails from Limón. We are in a much warmer environment than the mountainous area of the capital, San José, but we don’t miss the big city.
Limón is truly a tropical paradise by the ocean on the Gulf of Mexico or Caribbean side. Our accommodations are fine, and food will be delicious with all the tropical fruit including fresh mango juice daily. It is a major export area of vegetables and fruit to other parts of the world.
It is Friday noon, and we still have not seen our meeting sites. Some are getting a little nervous about preparation. We will know after the next couple of days.
With only one road into Limón, and all the traffic coming and going, it took extra time on this huge bus loaded with over 50 people and luggage. Getting in and out of two hotels along the way was quite challenging to say the least.
We had a good orientation with Kathy McKee, and there is good mentoring that has been assigned in the three major areas. We appreciate Tony’s presence in translation already. We have just one little station to send e-mails, but I will try to send pictures sporadically. Thanks for your prayers.
Blessings,
Bill Tucker & team
