College Student Evangelism

Rolling out victory to the ends of the earth!

Some of The Quiet Hour’s greatest harvests have come through college student mission teams. Mentored by experienced evangelists, these eager and energetic college students are passionate about sharing Christ. Like in the Book of Acts, the power of the Holy Spirit is boldly working through the efforts of these committed believers, attracting large crowds almost anywhere they go overseas.

2007 Evangelistic Mission Teams:
Each $24 gives 6 people a chance for victory in Christ!
Over the past few years since we began this program, we’ve determined that for every $4 we invest in these harvest campaigns, one person will be reached with the gospel. Reports of hundreds of people deciding to be baptized over a single two week mission are not uncommon. One mission team helped with a mind-boggling harvest of nearly 10,000 precious souls! Please know we appreciate anything you are able to do at this time. Rest assured, your partnership will be multiplied by the power of the Holy Spirit, for an even greater harvest to come! Your gift will help send these college student evangelists who are sacrificing so much to serve the Lord.

Help send 181 evangelists to 14 countries
that desperately need the gospel NOW.
We’ve committed to train and send 181 college students from 12 universities, seminaries and Christian medical schools across the globe for two-week missions in 2007. Before they go, and while working in the field, we’ll be teaching these young people to witness, evangelize and bring people to Jesus. We’ll also equip each evangelist with all the support they will need for a successful mission, including:

  Sermons.
  PowerPoint health and family talks.
  Health expo equipment.
  Life-changing health and family talks.
A $750 scholarship to defray some of their travel costs. (Students pay or raise money for their remaining costs, as well as give up their vacation time to go.)

Help send 17 mission teams— 181 evangelists — to share the victory of Christ with thousands in 2007! Donate now

Baptizing in the
deep end

On September 3, 2005, after two weeks of evangelism in Palawan, Philippines, students from Pacific Union College in California helped baptize 304 new believers in a city swimming pool. Palawan’s tourism-based economy has been devastated since terrorists kidnapped 20 people from a resort there in 1991. Many lost jobs and are hungry for hope – as evidenced by their tremendous response to our student evangelism team!

The pool had no shallow end. Each person being baptized had to trust God all the more as they were literally buried in the deep water, and were raised up again to experience a new life in Christ.

Zimbabwe teaches
mission team:

Never give up!
One missionary was so excited to preach for the first time, but when he arrived at the site, the heavy tent was lying in the dust. Even 45 men did not have the strength to lift the giant canvas off the ground. The young man offered to preach “under the stars,” but the church members and their guests were determined to put the tent together. An hour and a half later, they finally did. “These people will do the impossible to get what they need or want,” the student told us in his report later. “But most important, they love the Lord.”
