70th Anniversary Airplane Project '07

The Quiet Hour celebrates
70 years of taking the gospel to the ends of the earth.

Remote tribes in Papua New Guinea and the Philippines are facing changes in their climate, plant and animal life. They are worried the earth won’t last much longer and they are ill-prepared for the end times. We’re being invited IN to lead them out of oppressive darkness and into the light of God’s plan of salvation! You can help reap the harvest . . .

Invest in eternity

For entire people groups, airplanes mean the difference between life and death.

Since our founding 70 years ago, God has used The Quiet Hour’s ministry to win nearly 200,000 souls to Christ. Aviation ministry has been one of the most effective ways to reach entire people groups. Often, our impact is more than tripled through the efforts of missionary pilots!

These dedicated servants of the Lord fly over steep mountains and into deep valleys, reaching into remote areas with incredible effectiveness. In some cases, they take the gospel where no one else can. And they also save lives by bringing in supplies of medicine and evacuating the seriously sick or injured.

But right now, these heroic workers for Christ lack the airplanes to do their important jobs. In Papua New Guinea and the Philippines, they are down to just one plane each. When these aging planes need repairs or maintenance, service stops — leaving many people cut off from life-saving help and hope.

Matching grant kicks off 2-plane campaign

The Northwest Christian Community Foundation has provided $375,000 in matching funds for our Anniversary Aviation project. That’s a great start, but we still need $1,709,150 to purchase a new Kodiak plane for Adventist Aviation Support in Papua New Guinea and renovate a donated Cessna 182 for Adventist World Aviation to use in the Philippines.

Take the gospel where no one else can. These planes are specially designed to navigate treacherous terrain and land on dirt roads, rivers and even open fields.
Save lives and eliminate needless suffering. Planes deliver medicines to remote villages and also evacuate the seriously ill and injured. Many die waiting for this help.
Reap a ripe and ready harvest.
Tribal leaders are inviting us to come to their villages so their people can have hope and a new way of life before time ends.

Modifying the donated plane for mission work is a wonderful investment, costing less than a third of purchasing a new plane. This will be the first plane Adventist World Aviation has received that is suitable for the Philippines in the last TWELVE YEARS!

Renovating this donated Cessna 182 is a wonderful investment!
The Kodiak plane was designed by missionary pilots to have exceptional fuel efficiency, while carrying larger loads out of shorter airstrips with greater safety and less cost than any other existing mission aircraft! It actually has FOUR TIMES the capacity of the older plane currently in use.
We also have a matching grant to purchase a new Kodiak, specially designed for the rugged terrain of Papua New Guinea.
Step out in faith. God will provide!
